Every morning, I start day with a beautiful thought.Mere thought of new day brings hope to do something new. As the day progresses , I start thinking of all the same thoughts that I had yesterday.All the freshness of new day disappears. isn’t this the story of most of us ? It is said that we always run 50,000 to 60, 000 thoughts in mind in a day and most of the time they are the similar thoughts.Sometimes I feel like I am talking to my own self. But when I pay the attention to it, I could sense that these are the same things I was thinking about yesterday.Then intentionally I have to bring myself back to the beauty of morning and the new day.
I asked my friends about their thoughts a they all said almost same things. As humans we have tendency to think like this.Is there anything we can do about all these things or we will always be in this boat of never ending thoughts.Like minerals,vitamins and phyto nutrients, thoughts are the micro nutrients for our mind or we can say for our soul.To nourish our souls,we have to create beautiful thoughts. Again the things we do depends on our thoughts.
There is a connection between body , mind and soul.Thoughts are a thread which keeps them in synchronization.The way we think effects our mind ,the body and ultimately the soul.It took me lot of time to understand all this.It was so easy to read a book about these things , be energized and forget everything next day.
Most of the times we get disturbed by anything and everything what others say to us. I also have the tendency to find fault in even those things which are actually good for us.We find fault in everybody. Even little triggers are enough to ignite irritation in us.I had the same problem.I used to think , where does the problem lies? In my own self or the other people?
After much analysis, I found fault in me. Hmm, I was at the wrong path. How can everybody around me be wrong ? I started implementing some of these rules on people around me. I found my life to be much easier. I was more happy.I stopped reacting to each and every situation.
Try doing these things from today. Do them for say one week.Try to implement these on everybody. Be it your boss, husband , wife, parents.
Process for changing thought
- Whenever they are angry, let them say whatever they want.Just don’t react.
- Does his/her situation is same as you?Or better or worse than you.
- Let those tense moments pass.
- Say your things when the moment of anger is gone.
Definitely you will have more control on the situation and you will find that you are more relaxed and with more energy. Your subconscious and conscious are more relaxed and perspective o f life is different now.So who changed that? You and only you?
This formula is not a rocket science. But very difficult to implement when the person in front of you is upset.But that is the time when you have to show your acquired wisdom about thoughts.Otherwise all the inspirational things we listen are a waste if we cant even apply these in everyday moments. When we master our mind to tackle these small situations of life , then comes the bigger task of nourishing the souls.
There is always some kind of situation when we go through these kind of thoughts which could be constructive as well as destructive.Analyzing the thought whether it is positive or negative is a tedious task to master. I am writing these things as I am also going through the same.I feel that it is our duty to learn some things of wisdom daily. Wisdom to nourish the soul.
Most important task for mind is to make it still.It is a learning process. Start from now. Just stop thinking. Sit for 2 minutes without having single thought. Two minutes done. Oh poor brain had at-least two minutes of rest.There is no quick fix. Small steps taken daily will take you on the path of calm and still mind.It will take time.Stop running thoughts just stop.
Steps to make mind still
- Find a corner at home/ any place where you can sit for few minutes without disturbance.
- Close your eyes and just breathe little deeper.
- Let the thoughts come and go.
- Don’t start weaving around the thoughts. Otherwise even one thought will become like a cocoon.
- Start from few minutes. Say 2 minutes.
Do it daily. You will start realizing the calmness and tranquility.If you will do this for 5 minutes, you can feel the relaxed mode of your mind. You will feel a kind of stillness in your mind. I know it is sometimes difficult to find time for our own selves because we have so many things to do, but all other things are only important if we have healthy body, mind and soul.
We cannot see our soul, we cannot see our mind. But we can see our tangible bodies.Most of our steps are towards nourishing and healing body. But we neglect our minds and souls.Luckily we don’t have to go to markets to buy stuff for our mind. It is not expensive at all. It just requires determination.
Gradually your mind will start churning positive thoughts. And when require it would be able to don’t think at all.When we have tranquility inside us. The world will be more beautiful place and we would be able to find happiness in everything.
